As a cofounder of Parents for Informed Choice SWFL, we have a number of supporters who are still on the fence on who to vote for. Their biggest concern are the issues surrounding medical freedom. In order to provide supporters with accurate information we were wondering if you could provide your stance on the following questions below.
Do you support mandating a mask in public places? If So Why?
Do you support local government being able to shut down a business like we witnessed with the COVID pandemic?

Carmine Marceno
Hi Brenda! This is a representative from the Sheriff's campaign. We apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Sheriff Carmine Marceno did everything he could to provide support for the agencies in the area who made, and will make, decisions for the community. As an example, he provided several additional options for constituents in the area to get accurate and up-to-date COVID-19 information. The LCSO public website gained a new tab full of COVID resources, the LCSO mobile app adopted a new feature with the same resources, and finally, one of the websites for Sheriff Carmine Marceno's campaign, friendsofcarminemarceno.com has an entire COVID-19 resource center. He also made himself available for county press conferences to increase transparency. As a sheriff, he plays a supporting role during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has already increased manpower to educate residents and visitors on the county's closures, restrictions, and CDC recommendations. Moving forward, he will continue provide the necessary resources and man-power when requested by the local or state government. As always, Sheriff Carmine Marceno has the best interest of the community in mind and will do everything he can to keep them safe.
